Aim of the Course
The aim of the course is about learning how to apply a range of methods and techniques to recognise, anticipate, prevent, diffuse and resolve potential and actual conflict situations.
The key concepts of the course have been designed to allow the participants to:
- Recognise and understand the factors which allow conflict to develop;
- Understand the main risks encountered during a conflict situation;
- Implement appropriate defusing techniques at the optimum time;
- Understand legal and personal safety requirements involved with conflict.
Employees in their day-to-day interaction with members of the general public are at risk of becoming victims if left unequipped with these skills. As such many employers have a moral as well as a legal responsibility to their employees to equip them with the skills needed to defuse potential violent situations.
